Our creosote fencing is ideal if you are looking to create a strong, natural-looking post and rail fence on an area of land. Whether you need to erect a new fence for a horse paddock, create a path or land boundary or are looking to fence off and area of your garden or estate, creosote fencing is a superb solution.
As it says in the name, this type of fencing is treated with Creosote which involves applying a protective waterproof layer. This layer helps to enhance the longevity of the timber, and in the long run, the lifespan of your fence, by protecting against water damage, fungi and insect attack. 100% Coal Tar Creosote has been used for over 150 years to impart reliable service life to timber in many uses. The creosote also acts as a deterrent to horses and ponies who chew fences posts and rails. Creosote materials should be handled by professionals only, and you should also avoid direct contact with skin. You should also wear a dust mask and eye protecting when cutting.
If you can’t quite find the size that you’re looking for, we are able to cut creosote peeled posts to a specific size, of up to 7-8” diameter and 3.0m in length. Get in contact with a member of the team to find out more about our bespoke creosote peeled post sizes.
